About Me
I am the founder of Dandelion Design Group, a thriving residential landscape design company based in Atherton, California. With over 10 years of business management experience and a natural eye for design, I started this small business in 2009 to combine my passion for landscaping with my career in high tech.
Having grown up in Atherton and lived in England and France, I bring both local and European influences to my designs for clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. My educational background includes a B.S. degree in Finance, an A.S. degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design from Foothill College, and an A.A. degree in Digital Media and Arts from Cañada College. I am also a licensed CA State C-27 Landscaping Contractor (#997079).

At Dandelion Design Group, we specialize in creating beautiful and functional residential master plans that use the principles of balance, texture, symmetry, and flow. We also incorporate non-visual elements such as sound, fragrance, and touch to enhance the sensory experience of the garden. Our designs are based on the principles of organization, including unity, harmony, simplicity, emphasis, scale, sequence, contrast, and color. We use a variety of geometric forms, such as right angles or circles, meandering, scallops, spiral polygons, or organic edging/clustering, to create unique and personalized landscapes for our clients.
In addition to our design services, we offer installation services that include plant material and hardscape sourcing. We have established relationships with all the major growers and granaries wholesalers in the region and can hand-select the best plant specimens and hardscape materials (stone, wood, brick, concrete, and pavers) for our gardens garden. We also provide project oversight, contractor selection and management, estimating and budgeting, and maintenance referrals to ensure that our landscapes are installed and maintained to the highest standards.
